Tommy and Ozzie have been best friends since second grade, and boyfriends since eighth. They spent countless days dreaming of escaping their small town—and then Tommy vanished.
More accurately, he ceased to exist, erased from the minds and memories of everyone who knew him. Everyone except Ozzie.
Ozzie doesn’t know how to navigate life without Tommy, and soon suspects that something else is going on: that the universe is shrinking.
When Ozzie is paired up with new student Calvin on a physics project, he begins to wonder if Calvin could somehow be involved. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is for him to deny the feelings developing between them, even if he still loves Tommy.
But Ozzie knows there isn’t much time left to find Tommy–that once the door closes, it can’t be opened again. And he’s determined to keep it open as long as possible.
I always wanted to read this book for some reason, but I never did, until now, of course. I seriously see why this book wouldn’t appeal to some people, that twist in the end changes a lot of things, for some it’s bad, which is really understandable, but for me it’s completely the opposite! Towards the end I was almost tearing, it was so rough.
Shaun David Hutchinson has amazing ability to create characters, he simply writes well, I plan to read all of his books.
10/10 – First of all, it’s very sad what’s happening to Ozzie, but luckily he’s not alone, he has friends next to him, which is super important and it definitely helps him a lot.
10/10 – I really loved them!
Lua sometimes was annoying me but I quickly overcame that.:)
10/10 – It was really unique, wouldn’t want it otherwise.
10/10 – For some reason I always love it when there are houses on the cover, especially with streets and this one looks rainy too. LOVE IT!
I know this book is not for everyone, but I think it won’t hurt you to give it a chance, I found an eternal favorite book. 🙂
